« An awesome week-end again for Frank Chatokhine during the fourth round of the 2014 DTRA season. For the first time Frank Chatokhine had the opportunity to enter the Rookie class on a loaned Co-Built race bike on Friday night. First race with a modern flat tracker and first win!
The Vintage class race was taking place on Saturday during Dirtquake 3. The growing line up of riders in the Vintage class made the competition even more intense with great battles with Guy Sutherland, Paul Harrison and Dimitri Coste.
Frank managed again to hold on for the win ahead of Sutherland and Harrison. After the Norfolk round, Frank is leading the Vintage class championship.Riders travelled from across Europe, America and Australia for the largest dirt track event that has ever taken place outside the USA thanks to Dirtquake 3. Saturdays « Dirtquake » is a unique combination of theatre, live bands and « run what you brung racing ». The DTRA Vintage class took advantage of the large crowd to put on a great display of riding. A heavy downpour made the first heat tricky but when the finals rolled around the track was in prime condition.
For the fourth Dirt Track championship race Frank Chatokhine saw plenty of new riders joining the Vintage class again and managed to hold on for the win ahead after great battles with Guy Sutherland, Jan-Willem Jansen, Paul Harrison and Dimitri Coste.
« I’m always pleased to travel to the UK to share good times with the DTRA circus folks. Norfolk has really a special taste with many new participants and so many guys coming for bitching at Dirtquake.
First of all I want to thank Anthony Brown for loaning me his fabulous Co-Built flat tracker. I had really good fun racing with this modern bike in the Rookie class Friday night. It was really a pleasure to spend time with all the dudes from France: my Ruby team mate Dimitri Coste for sure but also the famous Serge « Sergei » Nuques, Gian Luca from Tredici Custom Castings, and Mario and Luigi who set up the show at Dirtquake.
Was really fun to see Guy Martin battling with Dimitri Coste in Dirtquake Chopper class!
Crongrats also to Julian from Deus who came from Los Angeles to race his Triumph TR6 which I just fixed prior to the week end!
Saddly my buddy Christophe Decombard had some issues with his DR 600 engine and did not had the chance to fix it to ride and make a result in the Rookie class. But again the DTRA circus friendly mood and the crazy riders coming for Dirtquake created this incredibly great times together. I can’t wait to join the fifth round at Amman Valley to discover the half mile race!
I’m now currently a bit in a hurry to check the Rickman engine, handcut the tires and adjust the transmission ratio for the upcoming half mile. »Frank Chatokhine thanks again all his sponsors who did help him to enter this year DTRA championship: Ateliers RUBY, CFC, Edwin Europe, Café Racer, Castrol, FTWco, Sideburn and Seurat 3. »
